I don't think that there is a LINUX port of YARN, but I do know that
there is an Offline Reader available for FreeBSD. Go to

and look at their collection of software for FreeBSD. I am certain that
I saw an offline reader listed not too long ago. If the source is
included, you could probably compile and get it to run under Linux. You
might also try SLRN, which is a nice curses based NewsReader for Linux,
it comes with a configurable program named SLRNPULL which makes it
quite easy to have your own private newsfeed.
