2-Jul-2025 YesWhen airborne in the circuit, alternator light came on and remained on regardless of resetting the masterPeter Barbuto
4-Jul-2025 YesAircraft windshield replacement underway.Graham Elliott
9-Jul-2025 YesUp-date #1: Windshield replacement - Thursday July 3 - Front seats and side panel interiors removed for access. Removed old windshield by drilling out rivets from lower windshield retainer strap and then lifting windshield up in an attempt to pull it out from upper slot...it was torture and took brute strength to remove as the sealant was old and very sticky. Cleaned up old sealant from channels and removed old plastic from top of dashboard which was deteriorated and wrinkled.Maintenance
10-Jul-2025 YesUp-date #2: Windshield replacement - Tuesday July 8 - Removed pilot side window by drilling out window frame hinges from door. Torture again with old sealant that wouldn't give, but we finally overcame with brute force and a little help from a neighbour 80 year old mechanic who happened to be passing by. Installed new pilot side door window with new rubber seal (more torture...these things never cooperate). Window frame now ready to rivet hinges back on door.Maintenance
10-Jul-2025 YesUp-date #1: Windshield replacement - Wednesday July 9 - Trimming of the windshield to fit (this took most of the day and we installed, marked, removed, trimmed, reinstalled about 10 times to get a good fit as the windshield is oversized by about 1/2 inch in both directions. Not so much torture this time, but time consuming and meticulous. We then cleaned up the dashboard on top of the instrument panel of old glue and prepped it for painting. Area was masked and a flat black spray paint applied. It looks nice!Maintenance
10-Jul-2025 YesCorrection: The previous latest entry should read Up-date #3Maintenance
11-Jul-2025 YesUp-date #4: Windshield replacement - Thursday July 10 - Pilot side window frame installed into door and spring reconnected to window lever. Windshield felt seal applied to edges of windshield and windshield installed into opening on airplane (with great difficulty as the slot channel along the top of the windshield doesn't like to accept anything thicker than the plastic...unfortunately the felt added extra thickness). Windshield retainer partially installed with stainless steel screws, washers and fibre lock-nuts...more torture as you have to put your hand way up from underneath the instrument panel and blindly feel for the protruding screws in order to put on the nuts...if you have access, that is....the instruments, radios and all the other goodies make it rather difficult. Stay tuned for more up-dates! (The airplane wont be ready for this weekend unfortunately).Maintenance
11-Jul-2025 YesThank you for the updates, and your tireless persistence and efforts, Allan!!Hal Sabetimehr
16-Jul-2025 YesUp-date #4: Windshield replacement - Tuesday July 15 - Most of the day involved screws (approximately 44), nuts and washers installed in the windshield lower retainer with four difficult ones left to go. Seat covers installed (and, wow, they look very plush and nice...sheepskin)Maintenance
16-Jul-2025 YesCorrection: The previous latest entry should read Up-date #5Maintenance
17-Jul-2025 YesUp-date #6: Windshield replacement - Wednesday July 16 - The remaining most difficult screws installed on windshield (and wouldn't you know, we dropped the 5/16 wrench down behind the top area of the radio rack...it took two hours to locate it...it's never where you think it is). The top window to wing fairing cuffs were also installed. Headrest holes were punched in the lambskin seat covers and the headrests installed.Maintenance
18-Jul-2025Yes Up-date #: Windshield replacement - Thursday July 17 - Windshield finally finished with sealant around the perimeter, interior panels that were removed are now installed, Pilot and co-pilot seats installed with nice new lambskin seat covers. Two new engine cowl mounts installed to replace broken ones. Plastic protective sheet removed from windshield and pilot side window...it looks really nice!Maintenance
18-Jul-2025Yes An antenna that was bolted on the old windshield located midpoint is still there but not bolted onto the new windshield (which would require drilling a hole). It may be a Glideslope antenna. Currently we did not want to drill a hole in the new windshield and so it is dangling a little bit from the ceiling. One of the flying club members will tape it to the ceiling until we get a consensus what kind of antenna it is and it we need it anymore.Maintenance
18-Jul-2025Yes Special thank in windshield and window replacement goes out to Robert Badiali, Debra Teelucksingh, Marvin McDoom and Zaayan (an up and coming aircraft maintenance mechanic and son of methods employee at Bombardier).Maintenance
19-Jul-2025 YesOvervoltage light on at start up; would not reset. Did 1 circuit to test suspected light sensor issue, as previously encountered with lower power settings on club C150 (and rectified with new sensor; 1 sensor currently on order for RAJ); light extinguished with take-off power and remained off consistently for about 15 minutes of flight at cruise power settings (also, ammeter appeared to always remain within a needle width of zero). The O/V light then illuminated again (would not reset), followed by almost immediate intermittent/flickering radios and electrical failure. Immediately returned to NC3 and landed flapless/NORDO. Notified and discussed with Alan.
19-Jul-2025 YesPrevious entry had timed out and did not record who entered. Entered by Ben Beale.Ben Beale
1-Aug-2025Yes Over voltage sensor replaced and tested. Operational check carried out and over voltage light issue is resolved.Maintenance
