How to Apply to Join the Flying Section |
|
The Flying Section welcomes Bombardier Aerospace (de Havilland) employees who are licensed pilots and who
wish to fly with the club.
We are a section of the de Havilland Employees' Sports Club (DHESC), and
as such, membership in our section also requires membership in the DHESC.
Employees and retirees of Bombardier Aerospace at de Havilland, their spouses and dependents under the age of 25,
are eligible for membership in the Sports Club. Membership can also be
extended to those currently working at de Havilland under contract.
Here is a summary of the steps to be taken to join the Flying Section.

Complete the
application form for the Sports Club.
For Bombardier employees, the form should be submitted to the Employee Service Centre or scanned and emailed to cse_canada@aero.bombardier.com for automatic payroll deduction.
For those working under contract at de Havilland, the form and a cheque for $26 (payable to the DHESC) should be submitted
to the Flying Section Treasurer, Chris Meelker.

Complete the application form for the Flying Section.
The annual fee of $50 (payable to the DHESC - Flying Section) should
be prepared. The form and cheque should should be submitted to the Flying Section
Treasurer, Chris Meelker. The form may be submitted by email.
Also, send a copy to the Flying Section Chairman, Graham Elliott,
who will set up an account for online bookings, and
place your name and contact information on our membership lists.

Complete the Release from Liability form.
Send the completed form to the Flying Section Chairman, Graham Elliott,
by email if you wish. (Minors will need to have the Release Form for Under 18 completed instead.)

Complete the online Ramp Safety Training.

Find yourself one of our excellent check pilots.

Get checked out in one of our aircraft.
