DHESC - Flying Section Information |
|
The Flying Section of the de Havilland Employees Sports Club (DHESC) is a flying club operating out of Brampton Aircport (CNC3) in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The club had previously operated for over 50 years out of Downsview Airport (CYZD) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Downsview was home to the de Havilland division of Bombardier Aerospace where the Q400 Regional Turpoprop and Global 5000/6000/7000 Business Aircraft were manufactured. The club moved to CNC3 in March 2024 when Bombardier's production facility moved to Toronto Pearson (CYYZ) and the Downsview Airport was permanently closed.
The Flying Section has been in continuous operation since 1973 and its primary purpose is to offer ab initio flight training to members of the DHESC. Over the years, the club has trained many pilots for the PPL (and higher licences & ratings) and currently has operations using a 1975 Cessna 172M.
In addition to providing Flight Training, the DHESC-FS welcomes licenced pilots who wish to use our aeroplanes.
Pilots must be members of the DHESC in good standing.
As part of the DHESC, we are a non-profit organisation. Any person who is eligible to join the DHESC can join the Flying Section. |
